C1018 - What is the significance of the default filenames checkbox when packaging?
by - Joseph Ganci
On the dialog box when you're packaging an Authorware file -- there is a check box for default filenames -- does this mean it will take the filename of your aware
file and use it and add the exe or a5R extension to it OR is there any other
significance to it?
Yes, that and the fact that it will package it to the same place as the
last file you packaged, as far as I know. It's just a convenience that
allows you to skip over the step of telling it where to save and what
name to give the packaged file. I don't use it because I work on various
projects and if I were to choose it, Authorware would be packaing Client
A's project in Client B's folder sometimes.
